From live comments to paid parcels: an order system for TikTok and Facebook live sellers in Mauritius

Live sellers in Mauritius: order board, Juice proof check, COD, stock holds and courier CSV in one place. Try the Envoice.mu Business plan free for 14 days.

Imagine it's 8.30 on a Wednesday night in Triolet. You're live on Facebook from the spare room, holding up a set of non-stick pans, and the comments are flying: "mine", "code 14 for me", "still have the blue one?", "I'll take 2, COD to Flacq". Your sister is screenshotting comments on her phone while you talk. By eleven the live is over and the real work starts: matching screenshots to names, checking which Juice transfers came through, and working out whether you really sold the last blue set twice.

The morning after the live

That moment, staring at 60 screenshots and a WhatsApp full of Juice receipts, is Invoice Blindness in its most stressful form. The selling went well. What you can't see is which orders are paid, which are cash on delivery, which are waiting for a payment that may never come, and which pieces you've promised to two people.

Live selling is fast, and the record never keeps up with the camera. Orders come in as comments, DMs, screenshots and voice notes; payment proofs arrive as photos; the courier wants a list in their format by morning. If a buyer messages next week asking where her parcel is, you're scrolling back through a thread instead of opening her order.

How the Live Seller Pack works

Envoice's Live Seller Pack is built for TikTok, Facebook and Instagram lives. It comes with the Business plan and above, so the free trial lets you try it on your next live. The flow for a live seller runs: price list, order, payment check, invoice, parcel, proof.

WhenWhat you do in Envoice
Before the liveShare a price list with order codes, so buyers type "code 14" instead of describing the item
During the liveOrders land on the order board; screenshots of orders can be read into it, and stock holds stop the last piece being sold twice
After the liveCheck each Juice proof, mark cash-on-delivery orders as COD, and turn orders into invoices
PackingPrint a packing list and export a courier CSV for your delivery company
When money arrivesRecord the payment, whether Juice, COD cash or bank transfer, and the buyer gets a numbered receipt

Sizes and colours sit on each product, which matters if you sell clothes or shoes, and stock and low-stock alerts tell you when a line is nearly gone.

Some buyers skip the comments and send an order straight to WhatsApp in Kreol or French. Smart Paste takes that pasted message and turns it into an invoice, so you don't retype the items, colours and delivery address by hand. You share the invoice back by WhatsApp link and tap send yourself; Envoice doesn't send WhatsApp messages on its own.

Envoice records payments rather than taking them online. The buyer still pays by Juice or cash on delivery, and you mark it against their invoice. When a refund or a swap happens, a credit note handles it, because issued invoices stay locked.

What to look for in a live-selling system

A spreadsheet can list orders. It can't stop you overselling while you're talking to a camera. Before you choose any tool, check:

  • Can it hold stock the moment someone claims a piece, so the last one isn't sold twice?
  • Does it give you a way to check payment proofs against orders before the parcel goes out?
  • Can it handle cash on delivery as well as prepaid orders?
  • Will it produce a packing list and a file your courier can use?
  • Do orders become proper numbered invoices and receipts, for when the business grows and your accountant asks for records?

On that last point: if your sales pass Rs 3m a year, VAT registration becomes compulsory from 1 October 2026. Envoice's VAT Manager prepares the monthly worksheet and the VT03 annex, and you file on the MRA portal yourself.
